Women Act distributed comprehensive relief package for COVID- 19 impacted women and excluded groups

With the support from UN Women, Women Act along with Blue Diamond Society (BDS) and Centre for Dalit Women Nepal (CDWN) successfully distributed second-round of comprehensive relief package for COVID- 19 impacted women and excluded groups from March 1-10, 2021. The package provided essential food and non-food items to 1000 beneficiaries in Makwanpur, Rupandehi, Banke, and Chitwan districts. The project is funded by UN Women.

Out of 1000 beneficiaries, 764 are female and 236 belong to the LGBTIQA+ group. Out of 1000, 253 are Dalits, 91 Janajati, 62 are women living with a disability, 34 are people living with HIV/AIDs.
