As a response to 2015 Earthquake Emergency, Women Act has been involved in emergency relief, rehabilitation and recovery in the affected districts. With the generous support from its network NGOs, Board Members, AHI Japan, Lang Feng Association of Macau, Women Pilots’ Association Nepal, The Asia Foundation/USAID, Women Act provided relief materials such as blankets, cloths, personal care kits, food items and dignity kits to the earthquake survivors of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Dolakha, Bhaktapur, Ramechhap, Dhading, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Sindhluli. Similarly, Women Act established 54 Temporary Shelters in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur for earthquake affected women and girls. In addition, Women Act provided livelihood support to approximately 500 earthquake affected families of Bhaktapur, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and Ramechhap distributing Goats, Hens, Pigs, Sewing Machines as well as tools and equipment for the affected blacksmiths of above districts.
